Calamus Estate Winery

Sue and I worked at Calamus Estate Winery yesterday. We received a last-minute call from the owner asking for our help because of a schedule mix-up. Calamus has a very small tasting room and at one point 17 people came in! Fortunately, there was a table set up in the barn behind the tasting room so they were able to go there for their tasting. One of the winemakers was on hand to talk about the winery and run the cash register.

Port Colborne Restaurant

We first visited downtown Port Colborne last weekend for Canal Days even though we've been in the Niagara area over 5 years. There seem to be quite a number of interesting stores and restaurants in one small area. We're going back when it's a bit quieter.

Another Kite

Another kite photographed at "Canal Days". I was amazed that the strings didn't get tangled on the more complicated kites. It must take years of practice.
