What is this?

I photographed this stuffed animal in the Bark and Fitz store in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Not sure what it's supposed to be but it does have "boobs" so must be female.

Bottle Shot

I was asked to take photos of the Calamus Icewine bottles for their website. Unfortunately, they didn't have capsules for the bottles. I had to "clone" a capsule from a previous photograph to the bottles using Photoshop Elements.

Photo with Santa

We were in Niagara-on-the-Lake yesterday when a woman was trying to take a photo of her kids with Santa. She couldn't get her camera to work and was very upset that she missed this shot. I came to the rescue, took the photo and asked for her e-mail address. The family was from across the river in New York State.

Festival of Lights

My photo blog buddy has posted a photo taken at the Niagara Falls Festival of Lights. This gave me the idea to post a photo from last year. We have a free room at the Hilton Hotel later this month so we'll pay another visit - it's always enjoyable.

Inside Southbrook

This is the sign just inside Southbrook Winery. We went there for Open Doors Niagara. We were lucky enough to have a tour with owner, Bill Redelmeier who told us all about the architecture of the building and some of the special features.

Southbrook Winery

It was a beautiful clear day when we visited Southbrook Winery which participated in Doors Open Niagara. The building was designed by Jack Diamond and has won international awards.

Angles

Taken at Southbrook Vineyards in Niagara-on-the-Lake. The winery was part of Doors Open Niagara. I photographed this section of the winery building because of the different angles. I may enter it in the Doors Open photo contest.

Autumn Rose

The roses were still blooming in our side yard yesterday. I shot this one just as the sun was setting. Note the bee in between the petals.

Old Sawmill in Autumn

This old sawmill is on Konkle Road in Beamsville. We noticed today that the property is for sale. We hope the new owners don't tear it down. If so, it would be a real shame!
