Doves on the Deck

Sue noticed five doves on our deck this morning. All five flew on to the railing and I quickly grabbed my camera. I had to shoot through the bedroom window so was not able to get all five of the birds in focus. They all then flew off one by one to the side fence and then away.

Bridge at New River Gorge

Once the longest arch bridge in the world, it is now the third longest behind two in China. The bridge is located in West Virginia.

The Pinot Affair

One of the best presentations of the Pinot Affair event was at Hidden Bench Vineyards and Winery in Beamsville. Pinot Noirs were matched with sausage, various cheeses and beef bourguignon .

Fall Colours in West Virginia

We caught the last of the Fall colours as we drove through West Virginia. As we went further north the leaves had mostly fallen.

Everything's Ducky

These ducks were at "Broadway at the Beach" in Myrtle Beach. They were waiting for the leftover popcorn from a popcorn vendor. They would actually beg for the food.

A Horse That's a Real "Ham".

Taken outside of Medieval times in Myrtle Beach. The horse came over to me to have his photo taken. The sign in the parking lot is quite appropriate!

The beach was closed for swimming but these surfers with wetsuits were able to enjoy the waves.

Market Common is a shopping, entertainment and living complex done in an old-world style. All the buildings is brand new. The area was a military base a few years ago.
