My fellow blogger, photoshopphlake, posted a photo of the roses at Maleta Winery. I liked the photo so much that I had to take my own. The roses are just starting to fade when the shot was taken.
While visiting Inniskillin on Saturday, we were lucky enough to try the 1989 Cabernet Sauvignon/Cabernet Franc. Still a really good wine considering it's almost 22 years old!
I was asked to take a photo of the 2010 Pinot Gris for a magazine article but I was only given a few hours before the publishing deadline! Here's the result.
Photographed at a Classic Car Show in Vineland. Originally, Chevrolet wanted to have the American Flag on the emblem's right but it is illegal to use the flag on any product apparently. They had to rush around to find a design before an upcoming car show and because the name Chevrolet is French they thought the fleur-de-lis would be fitting. This decision was made 50 years ago.
Returning from Guelph last night I noticed that the moon was full. I stopped on the side of the highway and took a hand-held shot. It's times like this when I wished I had a more powerful lens or my tripod in the car.
We lost our oldest cat, Pepper, yesterday. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Despite her blindness, she managed quite well and was always a happy cat and friendly to everyone.

While attending the Flat Rock Open House on Saturday evening, I noticed a field of poppies on the adjoining property. Not sure if I was trespassing but I did manage to take a few photos including this one.
Local musician, Terry Rawlinko, plays acoustic guitar and sings at the "Graze the Bench" event at Hidden Bench on Sunday. Terry is the son of Ontario Wine Society member, Wally Rawlinko.
There was a band at the Vineland Estates open house last week. There was a blinding spotlight on the group making photos almost impossible. I had to settle for this close-up but even that has a reflection from the spotlight.
