Christmas Trifle

We didn't go to Guelph on Christmas Day for our usual family get together because my niece's husband was not well and couldn't face cooking for a crowd. So it was postponed until yesterday. Sue took this English trifle. So good I had two helpings.

One of the best presentations of the Pinot Affair event was at Hidden Bench Vineyards and Winery in Beamsville. Pinot Noirs were matched with sausage, various cheeses and beef bourguignon .

We recently did the wine and cheese matching seminar at Hillebrand Estates Winery. All three pairings were great. Wine served - Artists Series Chardonnay, 2009 Trius Red and Riesling Icewine.
