Winters Past

There hasn't been much snow in Niagara this year so I thought I would post a photo of when we lived in Toronto. Many years ago the city got hit with a huge amount of snow!

Cobbler's House (1860)

This house is in Niagara-on-the-Lake. It was owned many years ago by friends of our family. I used to stay with them when I was a youngster. It is now a designated historical property.

We Serve Real Coffee, Really!

Christmas Church

A Christmas tree ornament from the past. I remember these type of ornaments from the sixties. You would put a Christmas tree light in the back of the ornament and it would light up the church, house, etc. We purchased a few of these ornaments from an Antique store in Vineland. These ornaments were made in Japan which were considered "cheap imports" at the time. They have now become collectibles. This photo was taken with the Olympus camera.

Digging Out After the Storm

Niagara usually misses the bad winter storms. Not this year, however! We received about 2 feet of snow. Lucky, I suppose, since south of the Lake, in New York State they had about 11 feet!
