Punting on the Avon (Christchurch, New Zealand)
I was informed recently that this photo has been listed in the fourth edition of the Schmap Christchurch Guide. I won't get any compensation but I'll get credit and my photo will be widely distributed.
How do I get permission to use this image on a new travel website I'm creating? Uplanit.com goes on-line mid Jan and this is the best pic I have seen of this activity - please, can I use it.
Well fred-wino after 30 years in the travel business and being a born and bred Kiwi and having seen some very bad collections of NZ photos in my time, your photos are one of the best collections I have seen. Obviously a lot of care has gone into them and you have captured the essence of the country extremely well. Terrific
Hi Lindsay, Thanks for the kind comments. We visited New Zealand in 2006 and had a wonderful time. As you can probably figure out, I'm quite interested in wine and New Zealand had some fabulous wineries. Too bad it's so far from Canada. I'm interested in knowing how you found my photo blog in the first place?
From memory Fred I think I got it through Google Search but I can't be sure. It's a pity that your shots are not in a higher resolution - I'm doing a gallery of the best NZ photos I can find on my site but the tech people tell me they have to be a minumim of 920 X 259 pixels (whatever that means...not much to me)I would have liked to use a few of yours especially the Napier ones...oh well. Cheers, Lindsay
Congratulations, Wine Boy, it's a beautiful image. I had my picture on the Post Office wall once but I've since changed my identity. Keep sharing!
