Taste the Place at Southbrook Vineyards

We took a tour of the vineyards at Southbrook on Sunday. The owner Bill Redelmeier took us through the various vineyards and we then tried the wine from the grapes produced in previous years!

Sheep at Southbrook

Southbrook Vineyards have a number of sheep that will eat the weeds and things between the vines and provide natural fertilizer for the grapevines. We were told these sheep would not be slaughtered after the harvest.

I picked up an award last night for third place in the Architectural Elements category of the Doors Open BiNational photo competition. The photo is called "Angles - Southbrook Close UP". The event was at Jackson-Triggs Winery.

The new Jordan Harbour Conservation area officially opened last Sunday. Canoes & Kayaks were available for rental. Unfortunately, somehow my camera setting was switched from aperture priority to manual so the photo is darker that I had hoped.

Sage and the New Lens

I bought my first fixed lens for my digital camera. It's an inexpensive Nikon 50 mm 1.8D. The salesman said it's one of Nikon's best selling lenses. I had to try it out with this photo of our youngest cat, Sage.
