A favourite at any seaside resort in England is the ice cream vendor. This photo was taken of the side of an old ice cream stand in Cornwall.

Blue Lagoon at Abereiddi

This is a flooded former slate quarry in Wales. The slate there wasn't a very good quality and the quarry was abandoned.

Fitting In

We've had our youngest cat, Sage, for almost a year now. She was a stray left by her mother under our deck. She has fitted in well and likes the comforts of being inside!

Birthday Girl

Our friends' daughter, Andrea, turned 21 last week. We presented her with an original watercolour painting by Nadine Dennis (another friend) titled "Winter Fairy Skating". Andrea and her skating partner are in the top ten skaters of Canada in the Dance category.

Calamus Winery Renovation Progress

The stonework is almost finished around the base of the building. The wood siding on the old barn has been sanded so all the wood will now age at the same pace. The new tasting room should be opened this fall.

Peach Cart

One of the roadside markets in Beamsville has this interesting peach cart. The owner told us it as his brother driving. I would say he's the "silent" partner!

If my father had lived, he would have been 100 years old today! He was a horse groomer in England and won a number of awards. This photo was taken in 1937. I scanned it and fixed it up in Photoshop.

A Day at the Zoo

We went to the Toronto Zoo for the first time in many years. What a great place for digital photography! This lizard was having a nice rest in the afternoon. When it heard the beep from my camera, it tilted it's head!

Fireworks over Lake Honeoye

My fellow blogger "photoshopphlake" posted a fireworks photo today as well. We both were taking photos as our friend Clarke was setting off fireworks from the beach at his cottage of Lake Honeoye.

A "Pallet" for Wine
