Photos taken with a Nikon D90 Digital Camera with an 18-200 Nikon Zoom Lens (VR), a 55mm F1.8D lens or an 18-55 Nikon Zooms Lens (VR), a Nikon D70 or with Sue's camera - an Olympus SP-510UZ.
After a frustrating time at Hillebrand trying to find someone who knew what was going on yesterday, we finally got to go on an interesting tour of the production facility and barrel cellars.
This photo is taken of an emblem on the side of an old British Rail locomotive. The West Somerset Railway Line uses older trains including a steam locomotive. The line runs from Minehead to Bishop's Bishops Lydeard.
Photographed in Minehead, Somerset. I thought it was interesting to see so many chimneys for one building. I always thought Minehead had something to do with a mine but my friend set me straight. The original name of the town was 'mynedd' which means hill in Welsh.
Since my Nikon Digital SLR camera is in the shop being cleaned, I used the Kodak "point and shoot" to take this photo at the official opening of the new Southbrook Winery. A number of dignitaries and guests were invited to plant a vine in an experimental vineyard in front of the winery. Winery owner Bill Redelmeier is at the far left (with wife Marilyn standing). My friend, Nadine Dennis, (5th from the left) was also invited to plant a vine.
This photo of the "Union Inn" was taken from a moving train heading for Cornwall. With the component countries of the United Kingdom wanting to pull out, this pub might have to change it's name and re-paint the building with the St. George cross!
