Our youngest cat (out of 3) will be two years old this summer. Here she is at just 5 weeks old. Her mother and two siblings were found under our deck and all four were saved and have since been adopted.
This rose was taken in April, 2006. The seasons are reversed in the Southern Hemisphere so this is an "autumn rose".
Since the tulips won't last much longer and not much else is happening in the garden, I thought I would display another tulip photo today.
Tulips planted last year at the side of our house are creating quite a display this year.
This barn is on Niagara Regional Road 81 in Jordan, Ontario.
Yesterday I posted a photo of Calamus Winery that was shot for the Wineries of Ontario Guide. This is the original untouched photo. It shows what can be done in PhotoShop Elements. The photo was straightened, cropped and all traces of snow removed.
I was asked to photograph Calamus Winery for the 2007 Official Guide to the Wineries of Ontario. The building has not been completed yet so it was quite a challenge. There was a short window of opportunity to shoot the photo before the building was covered with shadows from the surrounding trees. The other challenge was to get rid of the snow in the driveway and on the stonework at the bottom of the buildings. Thank goodness for PhotoShop!
Now that the better weather is here, tourists in Niagara Falls can enjoy the scenery taking a carriage ride.
I'm getting very close to uploading my New Zealand photos to Flikr. While reviewing my pictures I came across this shot of the Church of the Good Shepherd on the shore of Lake Tekapo.
A tee-shirt hanging in a store in "Niagara" Falls.
Another photo of the tulips on Aberdeen Road, Beamsville.
The neighbours on Aberdeen Road, Beamsville have planted daffodils and tulips over the years. Each Spring there is a wonderful show along the side of the road.
Taken inside the Fallsview Casino, Niagara Falls, Ontario.
This is another photo from a 30-year old slide and shows the old Golden Nugget Casino. This was replaced by a huge hotel and gambling complex years later.
One year ago today we were on our way back home from a fantastic month in New Zealand. The above is a panoramic view of Lake Tekapo. This was done by taking two side-by-side photos and merging the two in PhotoShop.
I don't have a macro lens but I've been playing around photographing small objects with the 18-200mm zoom. This mini is about 4" x 1/2". The final photo was colour-changed in PhotoShop.
